Da Vinci Robotic Surgery

The Da Vinci Surgical System is a major advancement in minimally invasive, robotically assisted laparoscopic surgery. Patients undergoing surgery with the Da Vinci Surgical System experience less blood loss, smaller incisions, less tissue trauma and faster healing times.

The Da Vinci Surgical System makes it easier to perform single incision or single port procedures instead of the 4 or 5 incisions required in manual or robotically assisted laparoscopic procedures. The precision of the instruments and ability to move in a 360º environment allow the surgeon to operate in ways that are less destructive to surrounding tissues. Incisions are smaller and heal more quickly, so pain levels are generally lower as well. Complication rates are lower than with conventional surgical methods and  single-incision surgery produces obvious clinical and cosmetic advantages.
